How to set up your authenticator app (step by step)
  1. Install a TOTP authenticator on your phone or browser:
    • Google Authenticator (Android / iPhone)
    • Authenticator Plus (Android — search “Authenticator App 2FA MFA OTP” on Play Store)
    • Authy or Microsoft Authenticator
    • 1Password or Proton Authenticator (phone + desktop)
  2. Open the app and tap Add account or Scan QR code.
  3. Point your camera at the QR code on this page (or choose “Enter setup key” and paste the manual key shown below the QR).
  4. The app shows a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. Enter the current code in the box below and submit.
  5. On your next sign-in, enter your password first, then the 6-digit code from the app.

No SMS required. TOTP works offline — useful in Ethiopia where SMS delivery can be unreliable. If you lose your phone, ask a platform super-admin to disable 2FA from the admin user edit screen.

After password sign-in you will be guided to scan a QR code. MFA is required for all administrators on this domain.
